Peter Salmond's 1936-37 Matriculation

This is an example of us discovering something we didn't know at all!

Peter Salmond was a student at the University of Glasgow, indicated here by his matriculation card.

In his second year of a Chartered Accountancy (CA) degree, he studied Accountancy.

The University of Glasgow Chapel houses a Roll of Honour commemorating students and staff who were killed in the First and Second World Wars. Peter Salmond's name isn't on it.

Following the discovery of this information, the University of Glasgow have agreed that his name should be included on the Roll of Hounour.

Hi Andrew,

What a great story. I'm glad his name is now being put on the Roll of Honour. I wonder how many others were missed.....
